Privacy and affiliate disclosure

Who we are

Arttrip (arttrip.it) is an editorial magazine about cultural travel and art history. This page explains which data is processed when you visit the site and how monetisation through affiliate links works.

Browsing data and statistics

The site is made of static pages and requires no registration. For traffic statistics we use Umami, a cookieless measurement tool: data is collected in aggregate, anonymous form, with no profiling and no cross-site tracking, and serves only to understand which content is read most (including, anonymously, which article originated a click towards our booking partners). We also use Google Tag Manager as a technical tag-management tool. You can block these tools through your browser settings or with dedicated extensions.

Technical storage

The site uses your browser sessionStorage for one technical purpose only: to remember, within the same session, that you closed the suggestion box shown in some articles, so it is not shown again. This value never leaves your browser and is deleted when you close the tab. The internal search (Pagefind) and the fonts are served directly from this site, with no calls to third-party services.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, the email address you provide is used solely to send you new articles and is never passed on to third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Affiliate links (disclosure)

Some articles contain links to booking partners, in particular GetYourGuide. If you book a ticket or a tour starting from one of these links, Arttrip earns a small commission at no additional cost to you: the price you pay is identical to the one you would find by going to the partner site directly. These links are always recognisable (sponsored boxes, booking buttons) and are technically marked as sponsored (rel="sponsored"). Commissions support the editorial work behind the site; we only recommend experiences consistent with our content.

Your rights

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection regarding your personal data. For any request you can contact us through the newsletter form or the contact details given on the site.
